Rising Starr Construction: A Website for a Local Builder

Gio Oct 15, 2026

A recommendation often starts a conversation, but a homeowner may still look up a contractor before calling. They want to see the kind of work the company does, get a feel for the people behind it and understand whether their project is a good fit.

That is why I like sharing the website work Redwood Rocket Marketing has done for Rising Starr Construction. This family-owned construction business serves Windsor, Sonoma County and nearby North Bay communities. Owner Josh Kesecker brings a personal relationship to the business, and his own recommendation is an important part of this story.

Give homeowners a clear starting point

General contracting covers a wide range of work. A homeowner with damaged exterior wood may be looking for a repair. Another may be planning a kitchen remodel, a deck or an addition. They should be able to recognize their own project when they arrive on the site.

The Rising Starr Construction website organizes services around those needs. Visitors can explore dry rot and structural repair, remodeling, decks and outdoor living, additions and ADUs, exterior upgrades and interior finishes.

Each category gives people a practical place to begin. The site also identifies the areas the company serves and provides direct ways to request a quote or make contact. These are simple details, but together they help a visitor move from a general introduction to a specific conversation.

Let real projects do some of the explaining

For a construction company, photographs can answer questions that a paragraph cannot. They show finishes, materials, layouts and the kinds of spaces a team works on.

Rising Starr Construction's site includes project galleries for kitchens, bathrooms, decks, ADUs and home renovations. It also shows the people and equipment behind the work, including the company truck in the photo above.

Those images help the website feel connected to an actual local business. A visitor can look at a completed space, read about the relevant service and decide what they would like to ask. That is a useful role for a service business website: helping people arrive at the first conversation with a clearer picture of the company.

A recommendation from Josh

Josh shared a personal message about his experience working with me. In that message, he said he was happy with the services and added:

I am happy to recommend to others and give you a positive review to whomever you need.

This is an excerpt from a direct client message. It speaks to the working relationship behind the website, and I appreciate the willingness to put his name behind a recommendation.

For an owner-operated business, that relationship matters. The website is one part of the work; having someone you feel comfortable reaching out to is another. My aim at Redwood Rocket Marketing is to make that connection personal, from the first conversation through the updates that follow.

Build around the business you already are

Rising Starr Construction's story is a useful example for other local service companies. Your own projects, service knowledge and customer relationships are valuable material. A website gives you a place to organize them so a new visitor can understand your business.

Start by asking whether someone can find their service, see relevant work and reach you easily. Those questions make a good starting point for a conversation about your own site.
